The Ironside 200 is DeMarco Watch Co.'s first serious diver, and it's built to back that up with real specs rather than just a rotating bezel and a hopeful attitude.

200m Water Resistance — What That Actually Means

The 200m (20 ATM) rating puts the Ironside 200 in genuine dive watch territory. That's not just splash-proof, not just shower-safe — it means swimming, snorkelling, and recreational scuba diving are all on the table. DeMarco even backs this with a waterproof warranty covering flooding within the two-year warranty period, which says something about how confident they are in the build.

The Movement

Inside is a Miyota 9015 automatic, made in Japan by Miyota, part of the Citizen group. It's a 24-jewel movement beating at 28,800 vibrations an hour, with a 42-hour power reserve, hacking seconds and hand-winding. The high beat rate is why the seconds hand sweeps as smoothly as it does, and the slim build of the 9015 is a large part of why the Ironside comes in at 12.2mm thick. DeMarco has fitted it with a custom rotor, visible through the sapphire display caseback.

Built for Low Light

The Ironside uses Super-LumiNova BGW9 lume — the blue-tinted variety that glows a bright blue-green in the dark. On a dive watch this matters. Whether you're underwater or just checking the time at night, the indices and hands are legible without squinting.

The Bezel

A 120-click unidirectional ceramic bezel. The 120-click action gives you precise elapsed-time tracking, and ceramic resists scratching far better than aluminium inserts. On a diver, the bezel takes more abuse than almost any other part of the watch, so this is the right call.

Sapphire Crystal with AR Coating

The crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating. Again, this is the right spec for a diver — sapphire is far harder than mineral glass and resists the kind of knocks a dive watch accumulates over time.

The Bottom Line

The Ironside 200 is a well-specced automatic diver at a price that makes sense. Miyota 9015 automatic, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, 200m rating, lume that works — it ticks every box for an everyday wearable dive watch. Available now as a presale on demarcowatches.com for $399, with a retail price of $599 once the presale closes.
